Overview

A supportive, trauma-informed group for caregivers navigating a child’s healing journey.

Partners in Healing is a trauma-informed clinical and psychoeducational group for parents, guardians and non-offending caregivers of children who have disclosed sexual or physical abuse. The group provides a safe space to understand trauma, process emotional responses, strengthen supportive caregiving skills and connect with others who have had similar experiences.

What to Expect
Sessions combine trauma education, guided reflection and practical caregiving support. Participants are invited to learn, ask questions and connect at a pace that feels comfortable.
How We Meet
The group meets weekly on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. Participants may attend in person or virtually through the hybrid format.

Who This Group Is For

For caregivers seeking support, education and guidance after a child discloses abuse.

  • Want to better understand how trauma can affect children and families.
  • Are seeking guidance in responding to your child with care and support.
  • Need space to process your own emotional responses following the disclosure.
  • Would benefit from connection with other caregivers navigating a similar experience.

Topics may include:

  • The impact of trauma on children, caregivers and family relationships.
  • Supportive ways to respond to your child’s needs.

  • Managing your own emotional responses while remaining present for your child.
