Clothesline Display at the Gallery at The Tech Garden
A Clothesline Project display will be hosted at the Gallery at the Tech Garden April 29 - May 3. The display is available to view 9 am - 4 pm daily and is free and open to the public.
The Clothesline Display is presented annually in April in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month to pay tribute to the strength and courage of the men, women and children who are survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Individuals use this opportunity to express themselves through words and art design on a shirt that bears their powerful individual messages highlighting assault and violence as a community problem.
The shirts are displayed together publicly on clotheslines, forming a powerful statement of solidarity for ALL survivors and supporters. The project offers anyone, regardless of race, gender identity, sexuality, age, religion, nationality, ability, or experience with violence, to express themselves artistically on shirts.
To make a shirt or get involved, call us at (315) 425-0818 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
