Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2025
October is a month of deep importance to Vera House and the community we serve. Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is a time to listen, learn, remember, and recommit. It is an opportunity to walk alongside survivors, to honor those who have been lost, and to work toward safety and justice for all.
Why DVAM Matters
- Raise awareness about the realities of domestic violence
- Support survivors as they continue their healing journeys
- Educate the community on warning signs and available resources
- Engage in conversations that move us closer to prevention
- Stand together in hope and solidarity
Get Involved
This October, Vera House is inviting local partners, supporters, and community members to join in DVAM in a meaningful way. We are currently developing opportunities for collaboration, sponsorship, and public engagement.
- Recognition and visibility for campaign partners
- Materials to share with your workplace, school, or organization
- Ways to wear and share purple, the color of domestic violence awareness
- Invitations to participate in community-wide education and remembrance
