Overview

A trauma-informed space for connection, skill-building and healing.

Beyond Survival is a trauma-informed clinical and support group for adult women survivors of sexual assault. The group offers a safe and supportive space to explore the impact of trauma, build coping and resilience skills, reduce isolation and foster healing through connection with others who have had similar experiences.

What to Expect
Sessions include psychoeducation, practical skill-building and facilitated discussion. Participants may engage in ways that feel comfortable and are not required to share details of their experiences.
How We Meet
The group meets virtually on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. As a closed cohort, the group is designed to build trust, consistency and connection among members.

Who This Group Is For

For adult women-identifying survivors seeking a safe and supportive healing environment.

This group may be a good fit if you:

  • Are an adult woman-identifying survivor of sexual violence.
  • Want to better understand the impact of trauma.
  • Are seeking healthy coping and resilience strategies.
  • Would benefit from connection with others who have similar experiences.
  • Are interested in continuing your personal healing journey.

Participants may be at any stage of recovery. You do not need to share details of your experience in order to benefit from the group.

What We’ll Explore

Each session offers education, reflection and practical tools to support healing.

Topics may include:

  • Understanding the impact of trauma on thoughts, feelings and relationships.
  • Developing healthy coping and emotional regulation skills.
  • Building resilience and self-understanding.
  • Reducing isolation through supportive group connection.
  • Exploring empowerment and personal strengths.
  • Supporting emotional well-being throughout the healing process.

The group’s focus is on moving beyond the experience of trauma toward greater empowerment, connection and well-being.
