The Vera House Foundation Scholarship (an Onondaga Community College Foundation scholarship) was established in 2007 by Data Key Communications in collaboration with Vera House to empower women living in a world impacted by domestic violence to live safe, self-sufficient lives through higher education at Onondaga Community College.  Scholarship awards, together with all available federal and state grants-in-aid, will provide full tuition and fees, room, board, and other educational expenses on an annual basis, and is renewable for a second year of study.

To qualify for this scholarship you must be a female, senior high school student, with at least a 75 average, attending any public, private, or parochial high school in Onondaga County.  You must apply for admission to Onondaga Community College and must submit an essay on what domestic violence and/or sexual abuse means to you, or how it has affected your life.
