It was so unexpected . . . . her children miss her terribly and wonder when will they see her again. How do
you tell a 4-year-old that his mother is not coming back?

Silent Witness Exhibit

As a community, we are all silent witnesses to the issue of domestic violence. The Silent Witness Exhibit was developed by the Junior League of Syracuse as a joint initiative with Vera House to raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence and encourage action to create change.

The Silent Witness figures represent local victims whose lives were taken by domestic violence. The objective of the exhibit is to heighten awareness & provide information on the issue of domestic violence & its effect in our community.

The exhibit is part of a larger effort consisting of more than 300 exhibits nationwide with the goal of ending domestic violence homicides.

The Silent Witness Exhibit seen here at the Vera House "New Beginnings" Gala consists of panels with silhouettes representing Syracuse-area women who lost their lives to domestic violence.

Their names and tragic personal stories make a dramatic statement - offering a powerfully moving testimony to the devastating impact of domestic violence. Silent Witness has been exhibited at sites across Central New York. We invite you to arrange for a Silent Witness Exhibit for your organization or place of business. The exhibit can be tailored to fit your specific space requirements.
