justice system ◘    

Strengthen consistent and proactive law enforcement and justice system response
Collaborate with judges and court personnel to ensure effectiveness of Onondaga County's Dedicated Domestic Violence Courts
Continue to enhance collaboration with law enforcement
Advocate for legislative and policy changes to improve justice system response

sexual violence ◘    

Thoughtful and conscious integration of sexual violence issues throughout the Coalition's work
Collaborate with the Onondaga Community Sexual Trauma Task Force
Improve written resources on issues related to sexual violence and distribute throughout the community

community awareness ◘     

Expand relationships with corporations and businesses through opportunities including the Silent Witness Project and the Work to End Domestic Violence Day Campaign
Continue to improve cross-fertilization within Coalition
Train service providers on best practices when responding to individuals with disabilities who are victims of domestic or sexual violence
Expand and update domestic and sexual violence resource materials in English and Spanish

diversity      

Continue outreach to people of color, migrants, immigrants, refugees, human trafficking/bondage victims and lesbian/gay/bisexual and transgender individuals
Increase representation of diverse communities within the Coalition
Continue community awareness with underserved and diverse communities to accomplish greater cultural competency in the field and hear community needs around domestic and sexual violence

expand services ◘   

Achieve routine screening for domestic and sexual violence in all health care settings
Re-establish civil legal assistance to previous level for victims of domestic and sexual violence
Address service accessibility for various populations, including women with substance abuse issues, male victims, non-English-speaking populations, people with disabilities and LGBT people
Ensure the availability of specialized sexual assault exam services at all local hospitals
Improve services for chemically-dependent and chronically mentally-ill survivors
