about the
Art of Caring project

The Art of Caring
is a unique project that brings
together gifted artists and
a caring community to offer
hope and healing to our
neighbors in crisis and
celebrate the joy of the
arts in our lives.

Through the Art of Caring, Vera House invites
artists & performers to use their creativity as a forum
to speak out against domestic and sexual violence.

We are honored to partner with so many generous artists, organizations,
sponsors, venues, donors & facilitators in the Syracuse area, including:

The Art of Caring also offers the healing gifts of creativity therapy to Vera House clients
through the "Survivors' Art" program. With the guidance of professional facilitators,
survivors create art pieces that tell compelling stories of anguish and hope.

"Survivors' Art" exhibits are seen at professional galleries and other venues
throughout the community, and all proceeds from artwork sales
benefit the mission and services of Vera House.

"Survivors' Art" digital fine-art prints can be purchased from the Art of Caring project. To learn more and see a gallery of images, click here:
