23rd Annual White Ribbon Campaign

Mar 1, 2017 to Mar 31, 2017

During the entire month of March, thousands of Central New Yorkers will be wearing a white ribbon or white wristband to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence.

The White Ribbon Campaign is led by men and encourages all members of the community to join them in their efforts. This male leadership helps to acknowledge the important contributions men have made to this effort and invites others to take a role.

Wearing a white ribbon or wristband is an important statement. It means you will not commit, condone or remain silent about domestic or sexual violence.   You can add your name to this pledge too!

The 2016  White Ribbon Campaign involved over 22,000 people in the Greater Syracuse community! Stand with us to end domestic and sexual violence and participate in the 2017 White Ribbon Campaign! Check back soon to order your campaign materials.

Domestic and sexual violence prevention is a large part of our work at Vera House.  This amazing video, "To Be a Man," was produced by our friends at Solon Quinn Studios and focuses on our important prevention work.

Thanks to three of our Prevention Educators, Tiffany Brec, Eric McGriff & Anthony McGriff for sharing their insights. If you'd like to host a Vera House presentation, please email cbritz@verahouse.org.
